Lectures will be offered by Dr. Robert P. Menzies. Dr. Menzies was educated at Evangel College (BA), Fuller Theological Seminary (MDIV), and the University of Aberdeen (PHD). He began his teaching career at Asia Pacific Theological Seminary (APTS) in the Philippines in 1983. After two years he and his wife, Joanne, moved to Aberdeen, Scotland where he completed his Ph.D. studies in New Testament under the supervision of I. Howard Marshall (1989). In 1990 the Menzies resumed their missionary ministry in Asia, which now has spanned 16 years. For the past ten years, the Menzies have been involved in church planting and leadership training in China. Robert is fluent in Mandarin and preaches in Chinese. For five years Robert taught full-time at APTS and continues to teach there part-time. He has also taught at Bible schools and seminaries in Australia, Fiji, Indonesia, Malaysia, Japan, and the United States. Robert also serves on the editorial board of the Asian Journal of Pentecostal Theology and as a member of the Theological Commission of the Asia Pentecostal Theological Association. Robert's writings on New Testament pneumatology, especially Luke's distinction contribution, have served as a catalyst for fresh thinking and discussion in this area. He is currently engaged in research on the Pentecostal nature of the Chinese house church movement and plans to write a biblical theology (NT) of the Holy Spirit from a Pentecostal perspective.

Dr. Menzies is married to Joanne Menzies and is the father of two teenage daughters (Jessica and Sarah).

Lectures are open to the public.
